MCGI Topic Review | Is Reading the Satanic Bible Advisable?
The issue of whether a Christian ought to read the Satanic Bible is quite critical and grave. As Christians, it is our calling to walk in the light and not in the darkness. According to the Bible, your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
This demonstrates that we have sufficient Word of God to guide us. Whenever we resort to the reading of material, which contradicts God, we are exposing ourselves to bewilderment and supernatural perils. I truly hold the view that not all things are safe because they are printed in a book.
Satanic Bible does not preach about God, holiness and righteousness. Rather, it encourages pride, self-worship and defiance of God. In 1 Peter 5:8, the Bible threatens us by saying that the devil is a roaring lion that wants to find people to whom he can devour.
This implies that Satan will always find an opportunity to get into our lives. It is possible that we may be influenced by reading materials that glorify him even though we may believe that we are strong. I have also gotten to understand that the food we feed our mind is important.
Other individuals claim that they do so because of curiosity, yet the Bible informs us in Ephesians 6: 12 that it is a spiritual battle not merely a physical battle. We must be careful. James 4: 7 writes, yield your selves unto God. Resist the devil, and he will run away out of your hands.
We can not resist the devil when we are amusing his thoughts. To sum up, I consider that it is not a good idea that a Christian should read the Satanic Bible. It is not a value addition to our faith or contributing to our becoming closer to God. Rather, it may bring down our spiritual life.
In Deuteronomy 18:10-12 we are advised against every evil practice. We should be focused on God Word, praying and having a holy life as Christians. As a person, I would very much ask people to place their hands on the light instead of darkness and truth instead of deception.
