One of my friends took a professional exam in the course of his career and did not pass it. He retook the exam and it was still the same case. It also happened in the third trial. At that point, he was already giving up, and was even trying to tell himself that maybe he was not supposed to be in the career in the first place. But I told him something, I told him that the 3 times he did not pass are not really failures until he stops trying. He took the advice and then studied extensively for the 4th one and took it. Adorably, he emerged as tops. In life, keep trying and keep making attempts. That you failed in the past does not mean you will not succeed in the same thing today.

No matter how the failure may look like, you have to understand one thing, it is not the end of your journey. There are sometimes that it can even prepare you for a better opportunity. You also need to know that your ability to succeed at something does not reduce because you had initially failed at it. So do not be discouraged when things do not fall into place the way you had anticipated. When things do not turn out the way you had intended, it does not mean you have failed, it might just be a call to improve your approach, or to adjust your timing, or to improve on your methods, and try again. More so, the next time you are trying, you will discover that the experience you got from the initial trial will be of benefit to you.
You may have made mistake in the past. You do not have to beat yourself over it or leave in regrets or be discouraged by it. Understand that trying again does not mean that you have to repeat the same mistake that you made in the past. If you want to get a different result, then you have to determine what went wrong, then change your approach and make the necessary adjustments. For example, if your business failed because you did not understand the market, then you need to study the market and study your customers before you start again. If you failed an exam because you did not read well, then you need to improve on your studying habit. The idea is not just about trying again after failing but to try well and make the next attempt to count.

It is also worthy to note that people's opinions should not stop you. Some people may want to remind you about your past mistakes, and if you listen to them, you may become discouraged. Some people who are criticising your efforts may not understand you struggles and how far you have gone. More so, those people may not even be around to celebrate your success, so why would you allow them to criticise your efforts? Your concern is not to convince people that you will succeed at the end, but your responsibility is to work towards succeeding. So remain committed to your dreams and to your goal, learn from your past experiences, and keep moving forward.
You also need to understand that the success you want will not happen overnight, it takes time, so give it time and have patience. In the world of today, a lot of people want quick success and all of that. This has made them to become impatient when their progress appear to be slow. Remember that meaningful achievement do not just spring off from nowhere, rather they are results of constant efforts over time. You may not have succeeded yesterday, it may not even be today, or next week, or even next month, but it does not mean that your efforts and the actions you are putting in are meaningless. This is why you have to be patient with yourself, give yourself time to grow, continue improving on yourself, do not stop learning, and keep taking practical steps. Even though the progress may seem slow, but one thing is very sure, every meaningful step will count.
