No pain, no gain
This is a very popular life quote and I have proven the truism in it. In life, there are always prices to be paid for the prize to be attained. Refusing to pay the price is an express denial of the proposed prize. Gone are the days where manner will just fall on people's laps. Now, you have to work towards it. This is why success has always been a result and reward of work.

In life, there are always two pains: the pain of paying the price of success and the pain of regret for not paying the price of success. The occurrence of one pain strongly negates the occurrence of the other. When someone pays the price for success, they will have no cause to bow their head in regrets later in life.
Trust me, the price of success may not be convenient and palatable but it will be worth it at the end and it carries less stress than the substitute. For example, a student that did not pay the price of studying for their exams, if they fail, they will have to take the pain of re-sitting for the exam or even taking an extra year - imagine the pain. No matter how you approach life, challenges must come but your response to them is what matters. Always see them as the necessary pain you need to bear to enjoy the gain in life.
A time may come when you think that the pain are way bigger than the gain but just to remind you, a farmer that plants a tree crop will not expect to harvest the fruit the same day. He has to constantly nurture, water and fertilize the crop until it is matured. In the same way, when you pay the price, the prize may not be delivered the same day but it does not mean it won't be delivered.
Most times, there is a period of gestation which the success will pass through to make in deliverable. Anything short of the due time may make the price futile. If a woman delivered at 6 months, it will be termed "premature". In the same way, when you start to lose patience over your hustles, just remind yourself that you need to wait for the due date so that your success will not be underdeveloped.

Prize and price are mutually inclusive, same with pain and gain. Anyone that promises you a life that is completely void of challenges and tests is not being truthful to you. You need to understand these things so you can brace up to take them.
