There may come to a point in life when you expect that things would have gotten better than it currently is. Or it may seem like your actions are not yielding the required result, and you may want to quit. Well, you need to know that quitting does not solve the problem, rather it prolongs it. It is worthy to note that what you need may not happen overnight, but the truth is that if you quit along the way, then it will never happen at all. This is why you have to be determined to push through till the end and get what you want without quitting.

No matter how much progress you have made and what you have seen, as long as you have not gotten to where you are going to, then quitting should not be an option. Imagine in a running competition and an athlete was leading, but just a few moments to the finishing line, he drops, all the distance he ran will be forgotten. In the same way in life, quitting should be resisted, otherwise it may invalidate all past attempts. If you try and did not get the required result, then you should make the attempt again with the experiences from the first attempt.

Most times, the point where people feel like quitting the most is just a few moments to their breakthroughs. If you must achieve success, then you have to make determination your ally. A lot of people that have made it in life did not have a rosy and smooth journey in life, a lot of them passed through some really bad and rough times that would have normally discouraged others. The difference between those that win and others is that the former did not quit. No matter how long you have failed in the past, as long as you do not quit, you can still succeed.

I used to cite the case of Thomas Edison when talking about those that refused to quit against all odds. During the course of his scientific discovery, he tried more times than you can imagine, which spanned a considerably long period of time, but he refused to give up. At a point, the waste materials from his failed attempts heaped up and nearly got to the top of the house, yet he did not give up. He understood the fact that until he achieves his goal, giving up is not an option. Having tried over and again, he finally hit his goal. And when he was asked about his numerous failed trials, he simply told them that he never saw them as failures but as learning process.

With consistency and determination, you will be surprised what you can achieve. In fact, there is almost nothing that will be impossible to the determined mind. Determination is the fuel that powers passion. If you do not quit on your challenges, they will quit on you. As a matter of fact, your challenges should not make you to quit, rather they should be a source of encouragement. This is because, for the challenges and oppositions to come, it only means that you are doing something right and that you are making progress. When you are in a marathon race for example, it is when you get to the last lap that it will become toughest. This is because the prize is already near. So when you are faced with intense challenge, it is not a call to quite, but to make you to keep pressing, because the breakthrough is already near.

Anything worthwhile that you want to achieve will definitely open you up to a lot of challenges. Of course, each level you attain in life will introduce you to new opposition, but it should not make you to quit. You should see them as necessary tools to help you achieve your desired result. Gold will not emerge in its shiny and adorable state until it endures the fiery furnace. In the same way, clay will not turn into terracotta (hard-baked clay) until it passes through fire. So whatever you see in life that looks like challenges is actually making you stronger and better. This is why I believe that what does not kill someone will definitely make the person to become a better and stronger version of themself.
