There are times in life that you will discover that you have tried a certain thing maybe more than once and you are not getting the required result. It is true that you should tried again and not give up. However, you have to understand that if you continue to try the same thing over and again in the same way, you might not get a different result. In fact, there is a reason why the process did not work at the first time. In order to have a different result, then it is important for you to try a different approach. That is, for a different result, then a different approach is expected.

There was a time, during my high school days, I was supposed to undertake a school task with a couple of other students to form a team. Each team, after their experiments, would present their findings as a seminar. So the presentation has to be based on the results of experiments. However, our own team had a very challenging time finalizing the experiment. In fact, the more we tried, the more we were far away from the intended result, and the deadline was fast approaching. As we were already feeling almost tired of the entire task, we decided to confer with our tutor.
When we consulted with him, he simply asked us the methods we have been trying with, and we told him. He smiled and then told us that "we cannot keep trying wrongly and expect to arrive at the intended right result." That is, we had been trying wrongly all those while and that was why we could not get the result. As soon as we tried a different approach and followed the process that our tutor showed us, we got the result very cheaply and we were happy with the result. Imagine if we had kept trying the same process that did not deliver the initial time with the hope that it will deliver at a later time, we would have wasted our time in vain.
People normally said that "practising something will make one perfect." True, but you have to be practising the right thing and do it rightly. Doing the same wrong thing over and again will not get you perfected in the right thing. This is why I normally tell people that processes matter a great deal to success. You cannot overlook the process and the methods and expect the result. The reason why the same thing keeps happening in the same way in and around you, in the manner that you do not like, is because you have not acted differently.
It is worthy to note that, because something has been happening in a particular way does not mean that it has to continue with that particular way. "As it was in the beginning" should not always be "so shall it continue forever." As eras change, and as new trends emerge, there is a need for methods and processes to be updated and upgraded. Imagine still using the manual old typewriter in this era where people now use computers systems, you will be very limited. So you have to know when to try something different and how to try it.

Opportunities pass by on a regular and daily basis, but there is also a need for you to get yourself prepared to be able to maximise the opportunities. It is not the opportunity itself that determines your lot, but what you do with the opportunity. The truth is that there are some opportunities that you may not be able to see nor maximise until you have tried things differently.
It is unwise to keep wasting your time on what you know will never work in the same way it had never worked and expect it to work someday. If it must work, then you should try a different approach. Take this instance, there is no way you can continue to pour water into a basket and hope to have a considerable amount of water in it. If you want to fetch water, then you have to use something that can retain water, like a bucket. In life, there are almost an infinite possible methods and processes to achieve a result than spending longer time on a method that seems not to work. Always have in mind that results are products of actions. When you put the right actions, then the results will be right too.
