Some additional features to Pocket map.

Components

Pocket map app is an open source android app. It is particularly designed same google maps. Viewing map in offline with routing functions and more.Here users can download maps once and can use it for offline use. Sometimes we are in such areas where we are without network access. We can use the mobile gps and pocket maps easily. It has several features:

• No internet needed. As it works when no internet connection is available. No roaming charges when travelling abroad. It has a tracking function (sporting tracking). create map. Directions for location A to location B.
  Here we can search locations by coordinates. We can dynamically analize moving distance, max speed, average speed, calories burned and time usage with both real time with summaries and zoomable line charts.

Proposal

I was using this app for sometime and it was a great experience for me. Today i saw some features missing.

• Maps history.

• Various views or compass views.

Let me first tell you about these features.

• Maps History:It is a feature in which we can store our search history or our location history, our visited places, searched places, everthing. This is the important feature which must be implemented.
  Let me show you an example

• Different views: it is a feature in which a user can look with different views, satellite views, various compasses, camera mode, traffic mode, google earth, etc

Benefits

• Map history: The benifits of maps history will be the users can save their location history, search history, visited history. Users can anytime look on maps history if they have to find out where he has visited this week, this month, year.This is an important feature that must be implemented.

• Different views: It is an important feature that must be implemented. A user can see maps in different modes or views,satellite view,terrain, bicycle, camera mode.This is the best feature an it will make this app stand apart and attractive. I hope these features will be implemented.
