The word original content can easily be understood by anyone on the Steemit blockchain, even a newbie or one yet to get his approval e-mail. Original content can easily be defined by different persons and in different ways and acceptable to all as correct but when it comes to quality content definition, it becomes a problem.
Quality content on steemit does not really have a definition, it varies with individuals and tags. Different tags and community have their different definitions of quality content. You cannot stereotype this definition.
Quality to #photofeed tag is base on the photograph and the resolution of image. You must capture it rightly, or express it in a way it will pass the message across. No one expect you to write over a thousand words here, in fact with less than fifty words and great photographs you can get the prize (Curation).
To #steemstem bloggers, quality has to do with the scientific impact of your blog, how does it affect the science inclined and what is the knowledge gab the post is meant to feed. How are the pictures arrange and aligned. The sources of pictures must be free for commercial reuse. Pictures and other reference works must be cited...
It's heart breaking when we apply the same method of posting previously on new tags/communities and don't get curated. Rather than blame the community or curators of being partial, it's better to take out time and study what quality means to these new folks. A photographer may never get curated by #steemstem, that doesn't make the community partial, beyond the picture lies a detailed documentation in line with their rules.
One major problem of steemians today, is the zeal to earn, once they notice a tag with good curation, they just wanna add it to their post, this has left many with zero cash out after the waiting period. It's hearth breaking to see non promoters or non promotional posts on #promo-steem tags, this definitely gonna go without curation.
The first tag rule has be forgotten so easily. The first tag should be your major tag, It should be the tag that represent the whole idea of the blog. A quality blog must have to follow the first tag rule. Before you use a tag as first tag, you must read the rules of the community or tag and ensure your post follows the lay down guidelines.
