Hello guys
@samiwhyte here
It’s another exciting time to blog again, I hope to be 100% active once more with at least one post in every 24hrs. I have always preach activeness on steemit, but recently I have been partly active, this is because of my frequent shuffling between cities with minimum of 5 hours interval on road. Travelling sometimes in a week; Lagos to and fro Port Harcourt and Calabar to and fro Port Harcourt which is 8 and 5 hours respectively.
Personally, I grew up not eating out, as I had to cook almost all my meal myself at home and sometime I get remarks like your wife go enjoy you well well o (meaning I might be the one cooking when I get married since I might be a better cook). I cook any kind of delicacy deliciously, even a meal I am attempting for the first time taste good, thanks to @monika-homa for some recipes, I had to attempt some just by reading her blog. Bae can attest to my cooking skills, as she loves it when I go into the kitchen because she is sure gonna eat something nice.
Traveling most times doesn’t give you time to cook, as you are left exhausted after a long journey and busy with the assignment on ground, so you have to subscribe to eating out. In other to find the right spot to have a great meal, you have to do some research, seeking the best spot with good delicacies around. As an African man, truly Naija, I go for local delicacies and my favorite most times is either Okra or Afang soup, both can be taken with fufu. The prices varies with the choice of soup one chooses. To my surprise, I realize the variation in price of soup alternate with location, this got me curious; Why should a plate of okra soup be more expensive to afang in Calabar, while a plate of afang is more expensive to okra in Port Harcourt?
My curiosity lead to my discovery of the availability of the main ingredient of the soup in these cities. The main ingredient for okra soup is vegetable okra while the main ingredient for afang soup is afang vegetable. The availability of vegetable okra in Port Harcourt is far more than that of afang vegetable, this leads to abundance of okra vegetable in Port Harcourt, leading to more supply, which leads to price drop and therefore a cheaper cost of making okra soup when compare to afang soup in Port Harcourt. While in Calabar, the growing of afang vegetable is more when compared to okra, making more afang available in the market, leading to it price drop, therefore cheaper cost of producing afang soup when compared to okra in Calabar. We can see here how the availability or scarcity of a product can affect it price.
Truth be told, cryptocurrency is currently suffering from several attacks for governments and some so called financial expects around the world and a possible spiritual attack from the likes of illuminati as shown in one of @fulltimegeek post. These attacks have caused panic in the system as most investors decided to convert cryptocurrencies to fiat, this lead to more supply of cryptocurrencies on sales in exchanges leading to drop in both price of most cryptocurrencies and the overall market capitalization.
To deliberately grow the price of steem on exchanges and in return grow cash out on steemit, we must reduce the amount of steem in circulation. The lesser the steem available on sales in exchanges, the more the price. Steem is the bedrock of steemit, when steem grows, steemit grow as well. The more Steem we have locked up as steem power, the lesser the amount of steem in circulation. We can reduce the circulation of steem by converting all liquid cash out from post to Steem and powering up. This will automatically drive the price of steem up and we all we have a better steemit experience.
