I just found a new website, BBC IDEAS. In fact, it is just new to me. The site seems to exist for quite a while already, though it is labelled beta.
BBC collects small groups of videos into playlists. The topics vary markedly, centering around cultural, scientific or just entertaining subjects.
You might want to give it a try.
