The online world is full of crime. You MUST be cyber smart in this space or be ready to head straight to your village. Go and read about phishing and social engineering online, it's very important.
If you deal on financial market, don't go about giving people your PC or mobile device.
A MUST HAVE installed in your laptop.
A very active Internet security with automatic update turn on. (I use Avast premier).
Malwarebyte with automatic update.
Always update your OS, if you're using old OS, upgrade to the latest one.
It's evil for you not to do the above and you opening every sites and attachment you see online.
You need to understand that many came to this space with so much money and went back broke because they aren't cyber smart. Don't release so much information on your about page and mind what you post online.
Mind what you download, if you're into crypto, don't download not to talk of installing cracked softwares in your PC, this things contains so many malware that can rip you off.
Also, mind the addon/extension you install in your browser.
If you have the resources, I suggest you have a dedicated laptop you use for digital currency only.

Don't Make Hackers' Job Easy.
馃憠 Don't EVER use same passwords for your emails as well as other web accounts (crypto exchange accts, website accounts etc). Your passwords should be complex pile of balderdash. Have a password portfolio like lastpass to manage your passwords.
馃憠 Activate 2FA on all your emails and web accounts.
馃憠 Do not open any links or download anything that a friend or someone sent to you. Ask questions first.
馃憠 Don't go downloading just about anything on websites.
馃憠 Looking for airdrops and free bitcoins from strange links will get your PC and phone attacked. Many airdrops are laden with RAT that are out to get your private keys and login details. Thread carefully.
馃憠 Do not share your laptop or pc with anybody, whether brother, sister or friend from adam. If you're into Internet hustle and a student, at all cost, avoid having a hostel mate. If you must have, that hostel mate must have his or her own PC. Password your PC and set it to sleep 10 sec after inactivity. Just have exclusive privacy to your pc and to a large extent, your fone.
Everyone who has been hacked have been guilty of breaching one of the above rules even if they don't wanna admit it."
