As we transition from gas/oil to power grids, each electricity source becomes overused. Expect more bitcoin mining halts in a lot of countries except in very energy-rich states.
Energy rich state often can't use/deliver their energy and thus will be the next "frontier in mining"
And added bonus is that flares based mining doesn't impact energy prices thus avoiding to much energy drama.
