Some people like fancy dinners, I like carrying everything I need on a 30yr old bike I brought on craigslist.
Cycle touring is a super simple, cheap way to adventure. You pack up a bike with a camping equipment, some food and get moving. What feels like a simple cycle turns into people telling you, “you must be crazy” but ignore that and just keep moving.
On my first cycle trip I had no less than five people ensure me that I was going to die. Not my favourite of conversations, luckily they were wrong. I’m still kicking around for now.
So yes, I know what you’re thinking and I am certainly one of them. Those people riding bikes up a stupidly steep hill… for fun.

Turns out the views aren’t half bad either.

If anyone is interested in more technical information on places I went, gear, costs or logistics just let me know.
Are there any other cycle tourers out there on steemit?
