Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. Today, I am going to talk about the Thanalorian Scion, an amazing Epic Water Unit card in Splinterlands. This card is not only visually striking but also plays a crucial role as a powerful defensive unit on the battlefield. It can pose a significant challenge to opponents, especially in magic-based battles. Let’s discuss this card today.

It is truly remarkable to get such strong defense for a low mana cost with the Thanalorian Scion card. That is why many Water Splinter players prefer to include it in their decks. At higher levels, the Thanalorian Scion boasts Magic Attack, Speed, Armor, and Health, with its greatest strength being its massive Armor. Despite having only 1 Health, its 11 Armor makes it incredibly durable. However, when a Melee Monster attacks this card, the attacker's own Armor takes damage, causing the opponent's tank to weaken rapidly.

The most important feature of the Thanalorian Scion is the "Void Armor" ability. Typically, Magic Attacks strike Health directly, but thanks to Void Armor, magic damage hits the Armor first. This makes it exceptionally effective against magic-heavy teams. This ability is unlocked at higher levels. Consequently, there is no chance of missing an attack, and every strike is guaranteed to hit the target.

In terms of battlefield usage, the Thanalorian Scion is most effective as a frontline tank. It performs exceptionally well, particularly in the "Wands Out" ruleset, where only Magic Monsters can be used. Due to Void Armor, opponents must first break through its massive Armor—a feat that can often shift the momentum of the entire match. It can also yield good results in the "Reverse Speed" ruleset, given its very low Speed.
In my personal opinion, the Thanalorian Scion is one of the best defensive Epic cards in the Water Splinter. Its massive Armor and Void Armor ability make it an ideal tank for magic-based battles. When used with the right support units, it can easily turn the match in your favor. So, if you enjoy playing the Water Splinter and want to build a strong defensive strategy, this card is a must-have for your collection. The combination of Void Armor, Corrosive Ward, and True Strike has established it as one of the most unique Water units in Splinterlands. That brings my post about it to a close thank you, everyone.
