Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. In today’s blog, we will discuss a Common Unit Card from Splinterlands called "Saintly Bernard." This card is associated with both the Death and Life elements, which can add a unique dimension to your battle strategy. The name itself suggests a loyal, saintly, and protective dog. Just as the real-life Saint Bernard breed is known for rescuing people lost in snowstorms, often depicted with a small barrel around its neck this Splinterlands card plays a similar role as a guardian on the battlefield. Let’s dive into the details of this card.

The name "Saintly Bernard" evokes qualities like loyalty, courage, and self-sacrifice. In Splinterlands, this is a Common-tier Unit Card, and its primary appeal lies in its dual-element nature: Death and Life. When using such a card, players must carefully consider the battle rules, the Mana Cap, and how it synergizes with the rest of their team. Since it functions within both the Death and Life elements, one could describe it not as a soldier of death, but as a guardian of life standing amidst the realm of death.

On the battlefield, cards like Saintly Bernard, which belong to the "Common Dual" category are most effective in low-to-mid Mana battles. In matches with a Mana Cap of 12, 16, or 20 where deploying high-cost Legendary cards isn't feasible a solid tank or support unit can often be the key to victory. If you already have a primary tank at the front, place Saintly Bernard in the second position; this ensures that even if your lead tank falls, your defensive line remains intact. Furthermore, if the card possesses abilities like Heal, Tank Heal, or Triage, it is best positioned in the middle of your lineup. In Splinterlands, 'Heal' refers to restoring the health of the monster in the front position, while 'Triage' allows for healing the monster with the lowest health in the backline.

To conclude, my personal take on this card is that Saintly Bernard is a Common Death/Life-splinter unit in Splinterlands. He may look like an innocent dog, but on the Splinterlands battlefield, it is often the seemingly innocent ones who prove to be the most loyal. This is a dog that has spent thousands of years saving humans from blizzards now, he has arrived to save your deck. Whether in the darkness of the Death splinter or the light of the Life splinter, Saintly Bernard will always be by your side. With that, I’ll wrap up my thoughts here. Thank you, everyone!
