The word DISCORD can mean a lot of things,it has different definitions and interpretations,but I will use a word"DISAGREEMENT" to represent it here.
God in the book of Genesis 1vs 26, Genesis 2 vs7, created the first Man Adam,and put him to the garden of Eden to keep and dress it. The Most acient days gave him a command"Saying,of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat,but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,thou shalt not eat of it:for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die..That was the command the acient gave him.
Man continued obeying this God's commandment until the day the devil came in the form of serpent to receive him,so that the relationship between God and Man could be broken.
The devil also jealous of Man,he wanted to get the Man out of God's presence and he(devil) came to sow the seed of DISCORD between God and Man.
He deceived the woman when her husband (Adam) was not with him.The serpent told her a lie that The Acient of days know that in the day he eat thereof,then your eyes shall be opened,and he shall be as God's, knowing good and evil.
The woman was deceived by all these deceitful words and she yielded to take from this tree of the knowledge of good and evil to eat and also gave to her husband.After eating it they discovered that they were naked. This make them to be ashamed of each other,they went to look for fig leaves to cover themselves.
And the Lord called into Adam and said into him,Where art thou?It was a pity God could no longer found His direction to Man again. The devil created a DISCORD between God and Man.
The Lord was not pleased with what Man has done unto Him(The devil has see this seed of DISCORD),and the Lord sent the Man and his wife out of His presence. Man was lost. How pity was the Man to lost God fellowships.
But thank God through Christ who came to break the wall of DISCORD between God and Man ,so that Man can be restore again to the presence of God.
Don't allow the devil to cause DISCORD between you and God again.Always reject him wherever he comes with his deceitful words,what he wants to try to do again to you and God is to cause DISCORD.
