I would dearly love a grandkid from one of my children, but my advice has been to stop at one. I have one old friend who never had children because she admits herself she is too selfish, an one old friend who believed it wasn't right to bring a kid inot the world. I think it's a good point about AI making up for a demographic crisis - but I selfishly admit when I'm dying in a hospital bed I want my kids right there. Thanks for your piece and your honesty.
