Ukraine's summer offensive so far has been a miserable failure at a huge cost in terms of men killed, in the thousands, and hundreds of armoured vehicles destroyed. Ukraine is destined to defeat by any metric. Russia has massive air and artillery superiority, as well as a plentiful supply of missiles and suicide drones which are having a devastating effect on Ukrainian artillery and armour. Plus Russia has a large military industrial complex, inherited from the USSR, which enables it to out produce the West in terms of artillery shells, tanks and other weaponry.
