Large numbers of people have succumbed to the fear whipped up by the MSM and corporate politicians and totally suspended their own critical thinking faculties. Sadly, the mass hysteria over Covid together with phenomena such as Trump derangement syndrome have led many people, who regard themselves as 'liberally minded', to demand the state censor people who allegedly threaten the status quo. In Germany in the early 1930s we saw a similar phenomena amongst millions of Germans who wanted a leader to maker all their problems to go away by scapegoating Jews, Communists trade unionists, Russia.
