Interesting post, thanks. I drove down Baja in the mid nineties in an RV stopping at deserted beaches and small villages. Meeting the nicest, kindest and most generous locals.
There were very few tourists back then. Some die hard surfers of course.
The main road was so storm damaged you couldn't get all the way to the South at that time so I drove as far as the road allowed then headed from West coast to East Coast.
I love Mexico. Been in and out of there a number of times in different locations. It feeds my soul in the best of ways.
