My mother left me and ran away with her lover. As everybody knows, my father married another wife who has two daughters. Boo-hoo, my future was looking very bleak. How much I have been bullied by a stepmother and stepchildren! My father didn’t notice, or pretended not to notice, that I had been bullied terribly. How could it be? I think this “Cinderella story” is not good for education, so I revised it.
One day, my father came home from work earlier than usual. He seemed to have ants in his pants. When I peeked out from behind the door, my father took off his suit, and sat on a bed wearing only briefs. His feet have been changed into a donkey’s feet. Good work! My supporter’s skills were perfect, I murmured in my heart. After that, he stopped showing anyone his feet.
Next morning, stepmother went crackers completely. She became to laugh at her husband. At this point, she had not known about his feet. Very strange fight between a stepmother and my father began. The more furiously my father got angry, the more loudly a stepmother laughed at him. The more loudly she laughed at him, the more terribly he hit her flush in her face. Her face smiling with a nosebleed was so fanny.
One day, while they were fighting, by some time or other, my father’s trousers split open and dropped to the floor. His hairy feet were revealed. Two stepchildren gave her father-in-low a dirty look without much surprise, and left, saying, “Those dirty feet suit you well.” I shall leave this house soon, I thought in my mind.
It happened one cold night. A man came to visit me. My younger brother. He had been left at an orphanage for a long time, and fortunately, he became an adopted son of a rich university professor. I also became an adopted daughter of him, and was living with my younger brother and our parents-in-low.
My younger brother used two kinds of medicine secretly. One is for changing a man’s lower body into a beast. Another is for making a person laugh, once he or she takes the medicine, falls asleep, awakes, and looks at a person of the opposite sex, he or she cannot help laughing at the person. My younger brother had known all. Our father’s marriage was a sham marriage. Stepmother was the president’ daughter, my father was trying to be the next president.
Thus, our revenge was over. We don’t know what happened to a stepmother and my father.

母は私を残して男と逃げた。皆さまがご存知の通り、父は二人の娘を連れた女と再婚。あ～、あたしの人生は真っ暗だった。子どもの頃から、あの継母とその二人の娘には、どれだけいじめられたことか。娘があんなにいじめられているのに、それに気が付かない父親なんて普通はいないよね。あの物語は教育上よくない。だから、あたしが書き換えた。
ある日のこと、父がいつもより早く仕事から帰ってきた。そわそわして落ち着きがなかった。こっそり部屋をのぞいてみると、背広を脱いでパンツだけになった父がベッドに座っていた。両足がロバの足になっていた。上出来だ。あいつの腕前は最高だ、と思った。以後、父は人前で絶対に足を見せなくなった。
翌朝、母の様子がおかしくなった。父を見て笑うようになったのだ。この時点で、母はまだ父の足のことを知らない。とても奇妙は夫婦喧嘩が始まった。父が怒れば怒るほど、母は笑うのだった。母が笑えば笑うほど父は母を殴った。鼻血を出しながら笑っている母の顔は滑稽だった。
ある日のこと、夫婦喧嘩の最中になんらかの弾みで、父のズボンが裂けてしまった。毛むくじゃらのロバの足がむき出しになった。母の連れ子の二人の娘は、父に冷たい視線を送って、さほど驚くわけでもなく、「お父さん、その足、お似合いよ」と捨て台詞を残して出て行った。あたしも、ここを出ていく日が近い、とひそかに思った。
ある、寒い夜のことだった。一人の男性が訪ねてきた。私の弟だ。弟は長い間、施設に預けられ、とてもラッキーなことに、お金持ちの大学教授の養子になった。私もその教授の養女になって、今は弟と義父母と一緒に暮らしている。
弟は二つの薬をこっそり使っていたのだ。ひとつは、下半身が動物化してしまう薬で、もう１つの薬には飲んで寝た後、最初に見た異性が面白くて仕方ない状態になる作用があったのだ。弟はすべてを知っていた。父の再婚は政略結婚だった。女は父が務めていた会社の社長令嬢だったというわけだ。
こうして、私達兄弟の復讐は終わった。その後、父と母がどうなったのか、私達は知らない。
