I once had a rather funny experience involving my neighbour. The wife was complaining that the husband wanted to be having sex every day of the week and she had no strength for such an appetite. The husband, on the other hand, said it is imperative that he has sex as often as possible because it serves as prophylaxis against prostate cancer.
For the same of peace and to prevent infidelity in their family, I would rather the couple work out a workable arrangement for this issue. The excuse of the husband may not be scientifically sound, no doubt, he find some sort of satisfaction from the act. This, to me, is OK, so long as he is faithful to his wife.
Of course, the feeling of the wife should be considered too. This is why I suggest that they reach a workable arrangement through compromise on either side for the same of their home. This is more important to me than the issue of the correctness of the couple's argument. Ignorance, I know, is not bliss and incorrect ideas should be straighten out as you have rightly done in this blog.
Thanks for writing the blog.
