Two certified fireworks operators (pyrotechnicians) were forced to jump out of barges on the coast of NSW Central Cost. Both suffered minor injuries.
Thousands of spectators had to be evacuated just before the fireworks started at 21,000. NSW Fire and Rescue said the two operators had been rescued by visitors and had been treated by paramedics.
