Assalamu Alaikum. How is everyone? I hope you are all doing well. I am Saifuddin, and today I am here to share some wonderful photographs with you. While these plants might look simple, they possess medicinal properties; we commonly call them "Shishu" plants.
Juice is made by blending the leaves of these plants with other ingredients; this juice is excellent for treating coughs. This remedy is widely popular in rural areas, and people have used it for healing since ancient times—consuming this juice often significantly alleviated coughing, even though other ingredients were sometimes added to the mixture.
At one time, these plants could be found in the nooks and crannies near ponds and along roadsides. However, they are now on the verge of disappearing because people cut them down without any plan to replant them. Consequently, their numbers are gradually dwindling. Just the other day, I spotted one right in front of me and took some photos, which is why I am sharing them with you today.
Many of you may recognize these plants, while others might not. Those who do will certainly understand their uses and why the leaf juice is consumed. Although the taste is somewhat unusual—as is often the case with medicinal plants—consuming it offers great benefits. It eliminates the need to rely on other medicines, as nature provides many such remedies.
Please let me know what you think of today's photographs; I hope you enjoy the images of these leaves I have shared. Wishing everyone good health, I will take my leave for now—stay well and healthy. I will return in the future with something new. Thank you all.
