Designing a poster was ne of my task this week.
I took inspiration from many graphic designers all over internet to create something simplistic, modern and peaceful poster.
Here, Let me show you how I created this poster-
- Number one thing required is the pictures-
I created a clipping mask to the picture of this beautiful flower and added certain shapes to the circular cut out of this picture. As shown below-
See those are the three elements put together to provide a part of the portrait.
- Next comes the other image used in the portrait which is of a butterfly park located in Karnataka, India.
This picture was again clipped and converted into-
And above it I added little texture and fade in order to bring out the beautiful peaceful effect. As for other parts I need some pastel colours so the picture should reflect some in order to match the entire layout. That is why the effect was added to the picture.
- The pastel layout, Using two colours was what I planned and wondering which would suit the best. For that I searched all around internet for a nicer colour combinations.
But what I ended up doing was taking out the colour combinations from the picture itself.
This bought the colour harmony.
- The textures and text
The last thing was adding textures and text, Believe it or not it was hardest. Thinking about what could possibly be added made it a little brainstorm session. The theme was tranquillity i.e. peace and making a slogan was easy but then came the textures.

So that's how I was able to complete the portrait. I hope you guys have learnt some or the other things as there are multiple options to create digital portrait as you just need a sprinkle of imaginations!
