An entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.
This morning I was supposed to take our daughter to the local hospital for a checkup. I took some time off this morning to be able to help out with the visit. Fortunately, the visit was canceled, and instead of going to work, I decided to get a hike in before a day of work.
Not only did the hike help me get to my daily goal, but it helped loosen up my back. Work has been stressing me out of late, and I feel like I've been tense while sitting at my desk everyday. My back, for whatever reason, takes the brunt of it. So, getting the hike in to stretch the back was a good move. That data entry can wait a bit...
Along the hike, I found an interesting moss-covered boulder. Lots of green!
I also found a fallen birch tree covered in woodpecker holes. It was actually pretty cool to take photos of.
All in all, it was a wonderful cold day hike. You'd think from the pictures this walk was taken in November, but no... it is allegedly spring here. Maybe next week it will finally warm up.
Dreary but beautiful, as always. It's fun to play a bit of hooky, you know?
Thanks for stopping by to check out my #wednesdaywalk! Hoping everyone else out there had a wonderful day too! I'll be back next week, and with some luck, I hope to have my first batch of drone photos to share too.
