The #weekend-engagement topics gave me a bit to think about over the past few days. I wanted to think about what the world would be like in 250 years, but sadly, I found myself depressed. As with 250 minutes to live as a topic, I too became depressed...my brain wasn't feeling it this weekend. So I went with Question II: What would I do with $250 USD that I randomly found on a sidewalk?
Initially, I thought I'd run to the Bitcoin ATM and convert the $250 to Satoshis...yet I thought more about it over the weekend. As I'm still on a "no beer" cleanse, my brain feels a bit more awake than usual. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but I have had a few ideas here and there of late. What to do...what to do with $250? I then started thinking about the number 250, and sought out an old used Aleister Crowley book for inspiration. You know me...find a number and then see where it leads you through the Universe.
Whatever you may think about the Great Beast, I have always found his writings interesting. This book, for example, works quite a bit on the esoteric meaning of numbers and their "essence." With that said, I was curious what he had found in his research in respect to the number 250. Well, as fate would have it...
Two hundred and fifty, the book defines, has the numeric equivalency to the phrase "The Living GOD of the Worlds; or, of the Ages." Curious. No Satan worship there. What could I do with $250 USD in context to that sentence?
If I let this statement guide me in this hypothetical situation, I believe I'd take the $250 USD and donate it to a local food pantry. I know it's not as sexy as Bitcoin or a Splinterlands NFT, but I believe that the number, in that context, would lead me to that decision. With a growing homeless population in this area, it would be a decision that I'd hope would be a) representative of the living GOD (whatever that is) and b) appreciated by those less fortunate.
I know, boring. Yet boring isn't always a bad thing. Plus, the money would certainly go to good use. And...it is what the Universe would want as it rolled out that 250 number (I think!)
Thanks for taking a look at my #weekendengagement post. Looking forward to getting back to being more active soon!
