Well, this week is going to put a big hurt on our cryptocurrency wallets. Or just any wallest, in general, as there are a ton of fascinating books out this week that we all might want to read. And buy just for the cover art. It’s a nasty hobby, isn’t it?

I started working through DC Unlimited’s Batman Beyond series, finally, this week. I might start making cheat sheets on various series I read….sort of a “you can catch up with the plot, keys events, crossovers, etc .” that deal with various comic book mythologies. Just a thought, anyway…

Are you ready for this week? I’m not, but I’m going to try anyway.

Picks for Flips

Star Trek Discovery Aftermath 1 B Cover Photo

Listed at retail, online, for $8.50 USD, a recent sale is +$15 USD. I’m not the world’s biggest Star Trek fan, so I have no idea what is going on with this story, or whether it’s solid long term buy. You might be able to flip it quickly, however.

Star Trek Discovery Aftermath 1 C Cover George Caltsoudas

A 1:25 ratio, I believe, and selling in the $45 – 50 USD range. Grab it if you can find it, friends.

House of X 4 B Cover Sara Pichelli

No real surprise here; sales were in the $9 USD range already. New listings are already clearing $20 USD…we’ll see if anything sells in that range, however.

House of X 4 D Cover Jorge Molina

Listed at $4.99 USD, this is already clearing $20 to $30 USD per issue.

Web of Black Widow 1 E Cover Joe Chiodo

You could have gotten this one for $85 USD last week online, but now you get to pay north of $130 USD for it. I see a listing at $180 USD for this 1:100 hidden gem cover. I’m out!

Infinite Punishment Escape from Hell 1 B cover Marcelo Trom

Already selling over $10 USD, this $3.99 is listed even higher at $15 - $20 USD.

Something Is Killing the Children 1 C Cover Jenny Frison

For $3.99 USD, you can flip this upwards of nearly $20 USD already. The B Cover by Lee Chung is already over $10 USD in secondary sales:

My Wants This Week

Midnight Vista 1

I’m VERY excited to read this one; alleged on a true story, this story recounts an alien abduction some 19 years after the abduction happened. I’m feeling a bit of synchronocity given other things I’ve been reading of late, and snatching this one up tomorrow. There’s also a nice B cover :

Most exciting! If I didn't know better, I'd say that Grey has a human finger. Curious, yes?

Something Is Killing the Children

Boom Studios offers a tale regarding invisible creatures who savagely kill young children in a small town. Fortunately, a strange woman visits this town to combat this unseeable force. Might be a good pick up!

Spawn 300 Is Here

Not much to say about this issue, but I’m going with :

And of course cover A:

Honestly, I love McFarlane’s shout out to the Mystery Cults with his “72 pages.” Nice work, Todd, you Mystery School type, you...

Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy 1 Artgerm Variants

I am only picking these up because of the current Artgerm collection in process :

Legion of the Super-Heroes Millennium 1 A Cover Ryan Sook

This one could be a dud, or a big hit. It’s supposed to a) be a history of the DC Universe and b) feature the first appearance of a Gold Lantern. Are you bored? I’m sure you are, we all know you’re here for the Marvel Comics anyway.

Batman vs Ras Al Ghul 1 B Cover Neal Adams Black And White

I love the artwork of this cover, and the story line sounds promising. For $3.99 USD, why not?

That’s it for me this week. Good luck tomorrow. I won’t have much of a chance at those flip picks, but I hope you do and you make a little extra cash this week. I’ll revisit 7/31 tomorrow.
