Despite the cold, something had a little freshwater snack this past weekend. While scouring the riverfront for things to photograph, I noticed this clump of clay and eight clamshells, cracked, along the shoreline. Cold, freshwater clams...yum? I have not tried, but I'm sure they are safe to consume? I passed, as always...the wanna-be forager in me is still not quite 100% confident.
