draft preservation after a failed request is the one I'd actually notice

we save drafts to our own backend @databaron
save to drafts work fine when I checked
well, you have to explicitly press save draft button in the post.
if you are talking about a dropping reply & saving it for later, that's something we've not yet done.
but good suggestion. We'll work on it.
