With this post, let me give you updates on the app development.
YouTube Player Integration.
- Many of hive members, while adding post, they tend to leave a youtube link within the post.
- As a developer, we must detect such youtube links & it should load YouTube Player
- I have taken care of it.
How did I do that?
- Step 1. Using RegExp, replace youtube link with a custom youtube tag.
- Step 2. Detect custom-youtube-tag & render a custom widget.
- Step 3. In widget, show youtube player.
Which Library did I use?
- I used
youtube_player_iframe library
- It works for iOS, Android & web.

Can I try now?
- Yes you can.
- I have tested it on following test post
- open https://the-hive-mobile.app
- and navigate to /#/@vachemorte/original-funkjazzelectro-condensity
What else?
- I am also experimenting on Dark & Light mode.
- As soon as it is ready, I'll publish the chanes & push it on the web-app.
What's next?
- Further experiments on markdown
- Show more details on post page apart from post-body
