If the storage layer is IPFS-based:

• data is content-addressed
• anyone can pin and replicate it
• no single frontend owns the files
• multiple dApps can access the same media

That is far more decentralized than every platform running isolated private storage silos.

Right now, if each dApp maintains completely separate storage infrastructure, the cost problem simply gets duplicated across the ecosystem. Every team ends up solving the same recurring storage issue independently.

A shared IPFS-driven storage layer would make things:

• fairer for developers
