We begin the story by taking a look into the past, where we control a Templar knight of apparently many years ago, after the events of assasins creed 1, as we can see that it is in a time between medieval and long before the revolution of France, on the other hand, we see that the knight and his grand master. They are heading to a battle inside his castle, as apparently King Philip is attacking his castle with his troops, so the knight asks his grand master if it is due to the pope of the Vatican for which they are attacking them to which the grand master that it is due to the assassins.
So the knight tells him that he thought the mongol khan had wiped them all out in masjid, something we saw in the visions of Altair's past in assasins creed revelations, so the grand master tells him that the assassins are way before masjid, and that their convictions always manage to stand out in the light, and that they are a plague like the plague, as they always find a way to regroup, so they continue walking to battle and see that they are losing quickly against the troops and knights of King Philip, the grand master orders the knight to get the codex and the sword that apparently is a gadget of the precursors and hide them in a safe place, as the assassins are looking for such objects.
The Templar knight begins to move towards the tower of the castle where the objects are apparently under the protection of Templar troops, but when he climbs to the top of the castle and enters the knight finds his companions dead and one very badly wounded who tells him that the assassins entered the tower and obtained the objects, The knight manages to see the assassin who wears a tunic like Altair's but black and begins the chase, finally we reach the assassin and he tries to kill us with his hidden blade but the Templar is quite skilled and manages to defeat him and uses the sword of the precursors against him, Finally the Templar gets all the objects, he hides them in a kind of temple so that no one can enter, but when he leaves the place he sees that the Grand Master was captured by the troops of King Philip and tries to save him, but is intercepted by the murderer and he stabs him with his hidden blade, thus being the end of this Templar knight in the flashback of the past that we see, in turn we also see King Philip burning at the stake years later the Grand Master of the Templar order.
Finally we begin to see arno as a child in the palace where his father was killed, same palace that we saw in assasins creed rogue in the end, because if you saw my final post of that game you could see that it was shay who killed arno's father, and we see how it all happened from the memories of arno, we can see that he meets elise also in that place, at the time when he returns to look for his father we can see how arno is in shock in front of the corpse of his father, and where apparently a friend of his father finally adopts him, as time goes by we see him already a little more adult where apparently he was looking to recover his father's watch, since apparently he lost it betting at cards, but when he recovers it he alerts the blacksmith who owns the house, and we begin to see how Arno's life is due to the loss of his father.
