Siempre trabajando (ESP/ENG) 📷

Es extraño volver al trabajo después de días de fiesta, surge la confusión si es sábado o domingo. Pero no fue malo abrir hoy viernes, muchas personas buscando repuestos para sus cocinas y muchas historias de que no pudieron cocinar y tuvieron que buscar solucionar en casa de un pariente o vecino. Hasta alguna discusión de parejas porque ya ella le había comentado que el horno no funcionaba bien y llego el 24 y por supuesto no pudieron prender el horno. Espero que no haya terminado en divorcio.

It's strange going back to work after the holidays; you get confused about whether it's Saturday or Sunday. But it wasn't bad opening today, Friday. Lots of people were looking for spare parts for their stoves, and there were many stories of people who couldn't cook and had to find a solution at a relative's or neighbor's house. There was even a couple arguing because she had already mentioned that the oven wasn't working properly, and then the 24th arrived and, of course, they couldn't turn it on. I hope it didn't end in divorce.

Demasiada comida el 24 porque además de que uno cocina siempre alguien trae más comida para regalar, dos ensaladas, pernil, pollo al horno con papas, hallacas, quesillo, torta negra, jamón planchado.

Todo el día hubo ruido de pirotécnicos la mascota Malta de mi hijo se instalo en mi closet y no quiso salir en todo el día. Le dimos las pastillas cerca de la media noche porque esa es la hora pico y se durmió. Sufren mucho estos animalitos, temblaba toda. Se metía debajo de la mesa de la computadora donde yo estaba, me seguía a la cocina.

There was way too much food on the 24th because, besides the cooking, someone always brings extra food to give away: two salads, roast pork leg, baked chicken with potatoes, hallacas, quesillo, black cake, and grilled ham.

All day there was noise from fireworks. My son's pet, Malta, took up residence in my closet and refused to come out. We gave her her pills around midnight because that's peak time, and she fell asleep. These little animals suffer so much; she was trembling all over. She kept going under the computer table where I was sitting and followed me to the kitchen.

Faltan apenas 5 días para lograr los 365 días aportando escritura y powerup diario. Una actividad que deseaba lograr este año, debería ser agradable hacerlo pero a veces se vuelve un poco estresante cuando me fallan los servicios de luz e internet. No sé si me animaré el próximo año, trataré de continuar, ya veremos.

Just 5 days left to reach 365 days of writing and daily power-ups. It's something I wanted to do this year; it should be enjoyable, but it gets a bit stressful when my electricity and internet go down. I don't know if I'll be motivated next year, but I'll try to keep going. We'll see.

Por suerte tuve una navidad relativamente tranquila, la cena con mi hijo y luego a la televisión, siempre pendiente de las noticias. Una visita virtual con los hijos que están afuera, disfrutando de su cena navideña.

Después de ese descanso a trabajar otra vez.

Luckily, I had a relatively quiet Christmas: dinner with my son, then off to the TV, always keeping an eye on the news. A virtual visit with my children who are away, enjoying their Christmas dinner.
