I will try to make a bird feeder
out of a solid piece of wood.
In the past
I have made a bird feeder
out of two pieces of wood.
I first hollowed out two pieces of wood
and then glued them together with epoxy resin.
Outdoors, there are harsh condition
so the joint was holding for a while
but then break apart.
In the open
wood constantly swells and shrinks
due to the constant absorption and release of moisture.
Therefore every joint represents a weak point.
So I decided to make the bird feeder
from only one piece of wood
without any joints.
So, let's see if I make it ;)
