I'm from Iran, and I've been following Trump's actions and statements throughout these months of war. To me, it's clear that diplomacy is unlikely to work in the long run with such a regime. Trump may represent a source of hope, and perhaps part of a broader political strategy, but nothing is certain. What seems certain, however, is that this conflict is far from over and is likely to continue for a long time.
