Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi, known as Mahatma Gandhi or Bapu, was born on 2 October 1869.
His father Karam Chand Gandhi was the Diwan of Rajkot State. His mother Puthibai was a religious and holy woman.
At the age of seven, he went to school. He was an average student. He was always in his class on regular and time.
And he was known for non violence activities. He had struggled for indian independence.
