Yesterday I was very enthusiastic about the just released Zappl application. And today that feeling is put in the fridge.
Why?
Because Zappl itself has come up with an important warning(!!) this morning.
> Please discontinue your use of the Zappl IOS app.
Apparently when you signed in with Zapple App your username and password are sent back to the servers of Zappl which is not the intention. It has been discovered by Zappl and they stress that their servers are not breached.
Nevertheless, it is a serious warning so if you have not already done so, remove the Zappl application from your iOS device and change your password.
Change password (be careful !!)
Change your password only if you have used the app on iOS. If you have not done so, there is currently no need to change your password due to the Zappl message.
Saving and managing your passwords is always your own responsibility. None of the Steemit community or Steemit itself can help you if you have lost your own passwords. So be very careful and be sure that you keep the passwords in a password manager, for example.
First make a backup of ALL your current keys!
Your Master (owner) password, your Private posting key, your Private Active key and so on ...
Go to your wallet and choose password
Enter your current password, click on generate password (you MUST register and save it correctly !!!)
If this is successful, you should also make a note of all private keys on the tab permissions, because those are now also changed. You must also keep and save these passwords (keys) in good order!
From now on you can log in with the new passwords.
