Let me say this first, I am super proud on my daughter. She is doing so well in school at the moment. It is really making me very happy and proud.
But with every kid entering pre-adolescent every time telling her makes her feel uncomfortable at times.
She likes her parents to be proud on her but mentioning it all day every day is somewhat overkill in her eyes. Maybe she is right.
So instead of telling her every moment of the day I decided to let her know ik another way. We bought motivational cards with inspirational texts a while ago. And today it came in handy.
While preparing her lunchbox I slipped a card in as well. Saying:
Good luck with your test today!
I know she will appreciate this very much and it is a new surprise. So I can’t wait for her reaction when she will be back from school.
