My little town is thriving with 100's or maybe 1000's of incredible and diverse artists. I am surrounded by so much color and vigor on my little streets. Each home is carefully designed to be useful inside and out. No space is wasted. You see sculptures in front yards and gorgeous flowers arranged in everything from antique wheelbarrows to old rubber tires. It is so beautiful and inspiring. I am painting at least 2 paintings a week right now just because of the colors. The intense house paint colors are amazing too. Just like a palette. Yesterday I saw a small 1940's home in turquoise. The trim was yellow. I mean, normally that would be kind of overkill. Here, it works really well. The people here in my little town are loving and calm and focused. It is great for just being. I have never lived somewhere so peaceful that you can sit in your lawn chair and stare at the sky and the mountains and at the same time, design a gorgeous cedar swing built with scraps from the local mill. I think more cities could be calm and beautiful and peaceful if the people took time to be together and to create art. It could be dance, painting, poetry, rap, drumming, anything that makes you happy and content. Be with others, create positive change, maybe have a sculpture or painting as the result.

Win-Win!
