If you want to know how to make good people do bad things, the first thing you need to understand is that good intentions have very different consequences for people at different times. We tend to overestimate our own good intentions and underestimate the intentions of others. Understanding this difference can help us minimize our own losses and maximize our gains....

"Good intentions matter" is a common mantra that's heard around the world. For most of us, "good intentions" means that we are thinking in the best interests of others. And while that is true, it isn't always enough to ensure success. Sometimes other factors come into play. When others sense that you have good intentions, they usually feel more supported, safe, and happier.

The powerful unconscious mind is innate negativity bias constantly scans for negative qualities, bad intentions, or dangers. In order to reduce your tendency to worry, undermine others, or act without thought, you must learn to extend kindness out toward everyone. If good intentions behind your kindness do not lead to safety and security, then those good intentions are not sufficient.

Here's an important point: "eness" or "not-ness" is a key component to awareness and compassion. If you are thinking good intentions behind your kindness, then you need to be mindful and watchful. If you are not mindful and watchful, you will unknowingly encourage others to take advantage of you. So what does "not-ness" mean? The more you practice awareness and compassion, the more it will become apparent to you and others and the less you will have to worry about others stealing your good intentions behind your back.

Here's another point: if you want others to feel secure and safe, you should cultivate "not-ness" toward them. Remember, this is very different than "positive intentions." Good positive intentions can also foster trust, safety, and emotional well-being. So, here's my concluding point: "best intentions" don't work when it comes to kindness and generosity. Real kindness and generosity need to accompany real caring, concern, and a desire to create balance in our lives between ourselves and others.

When you extend kindness and generosity, you are creating an atmosphere of love and healing that deepens your relationship with each other and with life. It is easy to build a relationship when we are surrounded by all that love and abundance. But, the only way we can create true balance and healing is by choosing to extend good intentions towards others. And "not-good intentions" need to be carefully monitored and watched.

In general, a great many people fail to fully understand the distinction between "good intentions" and "not-good intentions." The problem is that it is impossible to know or remember exactly what "good intentions" and "not-good intentions" are unless you are living the life of the spirit. You must be clear about what is genuine intention and what isn't. Only when you realize the difference between good intentions and not-good intentions will you truly know how to live your life in alignment with the law of attraction.

As I close, I encourage you to reclaim the power of the phrase "the road to riches is paved with good intentions." Living a life with good intentions is the first step toward financial freedom. Once you realize that it is possible to live a life filled with intention, you will be inspired to discover more about the law of attraction and how you can use it to manifest your desires.

Good intentions are easy to establish. If you are focused, determined and ready to go, they will come. When the intentions come, let your attitude radiates and the wheels of attraction begin to turn.

In fact, I believe that a life of good intentions is much easier to maintain than a life of bad intentions. When you focus your energy and attention on positive goals and plans and follow through on them, you will find it easier to let go of old habits and old ways of doing things. Your attitude will be aligned with what is right and good for you. Your energy will be flowing in the direction of fulfillment. As your dreams and goals come into focus and you live by the law of attraction, they will appear.

Live life with positive intentions. Make your dreams become reality. You will achieve your goals and live a life of purpose. In so doing, you will experience the highest level of happiness. When you take the time to think about the laws of attraction, and when you are focused on their value, there is nothing you can't achieve.
