Today I would like to look at Matthew 5 verse 11 to 12.
11)“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
12)Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Jesus say it is a good thing when we are persecuted because of Him. It shows that we don't care about worldly things, but that we are following Jesus, despite the trouble it causes. This will separate real believers from the fake believers. It will also strengthen the faith of those who persevere through tough times. All real believers, who endure, will be rewarded with eternal life.
