Stock performance vs SPS performance during Bear conditions??
Around 2 weeks ago I wrote a post comparing my SPS vs Equity investments. In that post the two performed very similarly, with the SPS outperforming the stocks with a few Dollars!!
Now that the markets collapsed on both the stock exchanges as well as on the crypto markets, I thought it would be a good idea to do a similar comparison.
Just to recap: From almost the start of the airdrop, I decided to stake 50% and put the other 50% into stock markets. I split my investment into 4 different markets:
- South African Stocks
- South African Tax free stocks
- USA Stocks
- Australian stocks.
In the slide above you can see how each of the stock markets performed. Interestingly enough the South African Tax Free market performed the best, with the USA market the worst performing. (Up to just before the crash the Australian market did the best) I must say that I invested in a lot of tech stocks, which is on the risky side of things.
The total value of my stocks is now $1766 and my SPS total value is now $1560, thus my stocks now outperformed my SPS by $206.
We all know that the crypto market is very volatile and normally has bigger reactions than the stock market, which can be seen in this case.
Lets wait for the upturn and compare the performances again!! For now I just hold on to what I have!!
