Short Road trip:
At the end of last year, I was on leave and my dad and I decided to go on a short road trip, with my old 1968 VW Fastback. As I mentioned in a recent post, my dad turned 86 in November.
Our first stop was a small Aerodrome, named Kitty Hawk where one almost sit on the runway. We stopped for coffee and after a short stay we hit the road again.
Our next stop was the Lemon Tree Tee Garden in the historic mining town of Cullinan, famous for the world largest diamond, which was found there.
We had a great breakfast and chocolate milkshake at the tee garden.
We had a great time sitting outside, having our breakfast and milkshake, and enjoying each others company.
From Cullinan, we went back to Pretoria, where we visited the Grub House which is an American styled diner. Here we had some Budweiser's.
This was the perfect end to a nice road trip with my dad!!
