I believe buying a home is a solid and good investment. Remember by owning a home the cost basically stay constant (5% mortgage), some things like maintenance will increase over time. If you rent you will have to face a rental increase every year, which in the end make it much more expensive and you will have nothing to show for all the money you have paid!!
