Mass adoption is still far away. I have introduced my entire family and all my friends to Steem / Hive, some started and even the people who introduced me stopped blogging, I am the only one. I have showed them my crypto and stock portfolios that I have built up, but still they don't want to give it a go, never mind trading or investing in crypto!!
