In my previous video, I introduced the male and female Siamese Fighters to each other.
In this video the male is building a Bubble Nest. He builds this with saliva. The male is the one that will care for the eggs, once they are spawned. He will catch the fertilized eggs in his mouth and deposit them in the bubble nest, where he will care for them until the baby fish are born. If an egg falls from the nest he will pick it up and put it back in the nest, He will protect the eggs and the baby fish (fry) from predators. Siamese Fighter fish males are real good dads!! He will even chase the female away!! For this reason it is best to remove the female from the tank, once spawning is finished.
