Thanks to the steemit community I have learned a lot more about the various miners and how to use them but I still have quite a lot to learn.
The most reliable for me (set it and forget it) so far has been mining DGB (Groestl pool) with SGminer.
(Computer is perfectly usable while running)I got dual mining ETH / SIA (Nanopool) working with Claymore.
(Computer is perfectly usable while running, with -ethi 2 command)I was NOT able to get MinerLamp working with Claymore ETH / SIA
(Perhaps they are not compatible?)I was able to get MinerLamp working with ETHminer so that it will automatically restart if it crashes, which is good for when I'm away.
(Computer is NOT usable while running, not a huge deal as it's meant for when I'm away)
I am wondering what, if any, the equivalent (-ethi 2) command for ETHminer/MinerLamp (says invalid in MinerLamp) if anyone knows, but I'd much rather get MinerLamp working with the Dual Claymore ETH / SIA.
Someone mentioned a grid size command for CUDA but I seem to have problems when I try to run CUDA (display driver crashes shortly after starting) so I've been using OpenCL so far.
I'm also going to have to get around to more thoroughly overclocking at some point.
Soon I would also like to upgrade my PC case because it's only a microATX and can't fit the second card (GTX 970) I have that is just collecting dust right now.
