I have been into crypto for a few months and as an Android user I'm always on the lookout for good apps, here are a few that have been working for me:
Bitcoin Ticker Widget
As the name implies Bitcoin Ticker Widget is mainly for home screen widgets, and that is what I use it for.
After adding a widget (2x1 or 1x1) you can choose the currency, exchange, refresh interval etc:
Once set you should end up with something like this:
It also has charts / info within the app:
Blockfolio
Blockfolio is highly recommended but I mainly use it just for the alerts.
It has a coin watchlist:
And charting for individual coins:
CoinMarketCap (unofficial)
CoinMarketCap is a great app, very much like Blockfolio but I prefer the dark theme.
It has a coin watchlist, as well as a seperate list for holdings:
It also has charts / info for individual coins:
Bitcoin ATM Map
Bitcoin ATM Map as the name implies shows various Bitcoin ATM's in your area.
It has a nice map based layout:
And also gives more specific information when you select an ATM:
(I happened to be working in Richmond, BC, Canada today)
Jaxx Blockchain Wallet
Jaxx Blockchain Wallet is a good general wallet with various supported coins.
It has a nice simple layout:
Also note the built-in ShapeShift feature:
Brave
I have not begun using android for directly trading on web based exchanges, as I'd like to find a secure browser first.
I have been experimenting with Brave as it seems to have some good security features:
But still checking into it myself.
There are quite a few crypto apps for Android but these are the ones working really well for me, I hope they will work well for you if you have not heard of them before...
I'm also excited for any apps you out there might suggest that I have missed in my searching.
This was focused on general apps as of course many coins have a dedicated Android wallet and they are only really usefull to those holding those specific coins.
Otherwise hope you are all having a great day and thanks for stopping by!
