Altcoins have been taking a beating recently which is likely due to the Bitcoin gold fork, which is scheduled to be implemented on October 25th; and on exchanges November 1st.
Because of this many people are exchanging their altcoins for Bitcoins to receive free Bitcoin gold.
If you have altcoin positions don't panic and don't sell, because the altcoins should make a strong recovery after the fork.
