I had Monopoly as I think everyone has Monopoly and after I learned how to play it and played it a few times I ended up hating it and everything it stood for XD And then I did buy a variant of it (not what I wanted but what I could find at the time) for the kids to learn how to count money mostly but it did conveniently pull multiple duties of risk vs reward and acceptable ways of reacting to emotions running high.

That game is now sitting in the games cupboard with the other games we haven't played for a while since the kids grew up and one mostly moved out.
